BNP to Build a 'Rainbow Bangladesh' Under Tarique Rahman's Leadership: Amir Khosru
Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, has stated that under the leadership of Tarique Rahman, the BNP will create the roadmap for a future Bangladesh, carrying forward the "torch of democracy" lit by former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
Speaking as the chief guest at a prayer meeting held at a school in Chattogram on Thursday (January 8) to seek eternal peace for Khaleda Zia's soul, Khosru remarked that in this new Bangladesh, everyone will have equal rights, and no one will hold absolute power. Instead, a "Rainbow Bangladesh" will be built by including all sections of society.
Reflecting on Begum Khaleda Zia’s political legacy, Amir Khosru described her as a remarkable leader who fought for the country's sovereignty and democracy throughout her life. He noted that she spent only 25% of her life in power, while the remaining 75% was dedicated to struggle and sacrifices for the nation. Khosru highlighted that her son, Tarique Rahman, is now advancing that same uncompromising spirit to build a modern Bangladesh. He emphasized that Tarique Rahman’s vision aims not only for political transition but also for the economic and democratic empowerment of every citizen.
