Diabolical Attacks Orchestrated to Embarrass the Interim Government: Mirza Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that miscreants are launching a series of brutal attacks to destabilize the country and put the interim government in a difficult position.
In a condolence message issued on Thursday (January 8) following the murder of Azizur Rahman Musabbir, former General Secretary of Dhaka City North Swechchhasebak Dal, Fakhrul claimed that these incidents are part of a larger conspiracy to create anarchy. He noted that after the fall of the Awami autocratic regime, remnants of the fallen government and other opportunists are desperately trying to regain ground through violence.
Fakhrul emphasized that there is no alternative but to suppress these criminals with a firm hand to protect the existence of the state and the safety of its citizens. He warned that the allies of the "Awami fascists" are waiting for an opportunity to push the nation back into chaos. To prevent this, he urged people from all walks of life to remain united regardless of their political affiliations.
Demanding the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those responsible for Musabbir’s killing, the BNP Secretary General extended his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family. Azizur Rahman Musabbir was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the Tejgaon area of Dhaka on Wednesday night, sparking widespread protests among party activists who have now given a 24-hour ultimatum for the arrest of the perpetrators.
